The problem

Massage guns are awkward to use on your own back. Every one you reach for needs a second pair of hands.

The limit

A massage gun shakes, and a suction mount has to hold anyway, on real walls, without twisting. The honest answer was to be clear about the limit: smooth, sealed surfaces only, re-seated every 30 minutes. So the user guide says exactly that, in pictures anyone can follow.

What I did

  • 3D modelling and prototyping.
  • Component sourcing and electronics design.
  • Packaging, the carrying case and the user guide.
  • 3D rendered launch animations.
  • On the ground in China: injection mould design, testing and retooling, assembly procedures and QA.

The result

Launched November 2023. Named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies of 2024.
